Škoda is a Czech car manufacturer headquartered in Mladá Boleslav. Its history dates back to 1895, when Václav Laurin and Václav Klement began producing bicycles; passenger-car production followed in 1905. Škoda has been part of the Volkswagen Group since 1991.
