Bluecar cars — models, electric drivetrains and maintenance
The Bolloré Bluecar is a compact electric city car developed by the French Bolloré Group in cooperation with Pininfarina. It became best known through car-sharing programmes, including Paris’s Autolib’.
Bluecar does not have a broad conventional model range. Its core product was a three-door, four-seat electric car, with versions adapted for particular markets and car-sharing fleets.
Bluecar uses a fully electric drivetrain and a lithium-metal-polymer traction battery. When buying or maintaining a used example, particular attention should be paid to battery condition, charging equipment, high-voltage wiring, battery-management systems, brakes and the vehicle’s operating history.
