Acura — models, engines and maintenance
Acura is Honda’s premium automotive brand, launched in North America in 1986. The brand is primarily focused on the U.S., Canadian and Mexican markets and offers sport compacts, premium sedans, crossovers and SUVs. Across different generations, Acura has been associated with a blend of performance, comfort, advanced technology and SH-AWD on selected versions.
Acura’s best-known models include the Integra, TLX, RDX, MDX, ADX, NSX and ZDX. Depending on the model, model year and market, an Acura may use a naturally aspirated petrol engine, a turbocharged petrol engine, a hybrid powertrain or a fully electric drivetrain. The current U.S. 2026 model range includes the Integra, ADX, RDX and MDX.
For accurate Acura maintenance information, the exact model, generation, production year, VIN, engine code, gearbox code and drivetrain must be considered. Data for petrol, hybrid and electric versions is not interchangeable. Service intervals, approved engine oil, timing-drive configuration, transmission requirements, AWD/SH-AWD servicing and common issues depend on the individual configuration.
