This calculation is informational. The competent authorities determine the final customs value, rate, and charges from the specific vehicle and documents.

How is car customs duty calculated?

Duty applies to customs value; the rate depends on tariff classification, origin and valid proof. The general rate is 12.5% for a standard used passenger car and 5% for a used battery-electric passenger car.

What is Serbia's import VAT?

VAT is 20% of a base that includes customs value, duty, other import charges, and incidental costs through the first Serbian destination.

Is customs duty due on a car from the EU?

Purchase country is not proof of origin. Preference requires qualifying origin and documentary proof.

What is EUR.1?

EUR.1 is a movement certificate used as preferential-origin proof. A standard invoice declaration is generally limited to EUR 6,000 unless the exporter is authorized.

Is buying in the EU enough?

No. Neither an EU purchase nor an ordinary seller invoice alone establishes preferential origin.

How is customs value determined?

The primary method starts from the price paid or payable with required adjustments, including transport and insurance to entry. Customs may challenge the declared value.

How much does conformity examination cost?

Laboratory, document and adaptation costs vary. The calculator shows an editable estimate range.

How much is the car through registration?

Enable registration to add AutoPassport's shared first-registration estimate.
